These GB instruments are available with natural calfskin or plastic heads. The tone of a calfskin head is more colourful and warmer, but susceptible to temperature and weather exchanges. The plastic head sound is cleaner, temperature and weather exchanges are of no influences. Finally they offer better consistency in tuning.
